Riding Boots and Pencil Skirts


I'm not sure how I feel about riding boots and pencil skirts.  I think they look great on other bloggers.  I just don't know how professional the combination looks on me. 

It may have something to do with the length of my leg (or alternatively, the length of my boot).  I feel like maybe I'm showing too much knee...or something.

But I gotta say, I love this skirt.  It's perfect for the day after too much bad food.  I had a salad for lunch today.

Don't worry, I'm not crazy.  I covered it in Ranch Dressing.  Covered.  Literally.  Salad Soup.  Mmmmm.

    Love, LOVE the pops of yellow in this outfit! So perfect!

    I think a heeled boot might look a tad bit more professional but you do still look very professional in this outfit. Love that skirt!

    I haven't seen much riding boots + pencil skirts combo (or maybe I just don't pick up on it? Silly me) You pull it off so well though! I think it's the top, the casualness matches the riding boots as opposed to a dress shirt.

    I have trouble with flat boots in pencil skirts too. I just wore that combo on Wed, and I was OK with it b/c the skirt was short enough, but I think it's tough to find the right look. This skirt is to die for though and I love it with the yellow. Thanks for your comment yesterday, about thinking my kids at school think I'm the coolest thing around. I absolutely loved it, it made my day :)
