MUSTARD V-NECK: NY&CO.
WHITE POLO: OLD NAVY
WHITE PANTS: VICTORIA'S SECRET
BLACK HEELS: CL BY LAUNDRY
The Outfit Inspiration Calendar told me to wear yellow and white today, and even though I just wore these pants last week, I was so inspired by the model wearing white pants and yellow top that I had to make sure they were clean for today! I think this outfit is just so summery, with white on both the top and bottom half! A have a peek of black in my shoes and purse today too! I love wearing colors like black as an accent color! I'm feeling a little sassy in my pose today, can you tell?!

Black and White
BLACK ZIPPER SHIRT: NY&CO.
WHITE PANTS: VICTORIA'S SECRET
BLACK BOW HEELS: CL BY LAUNDRY (ROSS)
BUN: COURTESY OF MY ALARM NOT GOING OFF
I'm getting annoyed with glitches in Blogger lately! If I try to schedule a post, part of the time it just goes ahead and posts it immediately, sometimes it does it correctly, and the other times it just doesn't post it at all!
Today I woke up at 6:17 a.m.--and wanted to be at work at 7:00. I can't stand not washing my hair, so that wasn't an option, so up it went into a bun partially wet. Luckily, I pick out my outfits and iron and prepare them the night before. I got ready QUICKLY this morning!!

Back to Life! With fun pictures to prove it :)
I totally fell off the blog planet for about a week there! We went to Ruidoso, New Mexico with some friends to celebrate my husband's birthday and had such a great time! I was back on Monday, but completely exhausted and consumed with some big decisions, so you are not interested in seeing that outfit, believe me. Yesterday I have no excuse, other than I just completely forgot to post!
So, without further ado, today's outfit, and then some posts of Ruidoso with my silly friend, Leila!
TODAY:
green button-up: Express, jeans: Victoria's Secret, pink heels: Bandolino (DSW)
The view from the top:
LAST FRIDAY:
black and white dress: Francesca's (McKinney), red belt: NY&Co., black flats: Walmart
This is a dress I found at a boutique that Kimberly took me to on sale for $25! A boutique dress for $25!!
And my stylish friend:
LAST SATURDAY:
black turtleneck: Old Navy, white pants: Victoria's Secret, black wedges: Merona/Target, gold bow necklace: Aldo
Yep, but how often can you jam on an 80s boom-box?

The Snazzy Pig is a restaurant in Roswell, New Mexico, that Leila and I couldn't resist going to. I mean, it had a pig dressed up in a tuxedo on the sign. And a bench that said The Snazzy Pig that we could lay on! Love it!! We took some time to visit the Alien Museum too, and though I wasn't convinced, I think Leila might have been. Either that, or I just got her drunk and told everyone she believed in aliens.
Yep, but how often can you jam on an 80s boom-box?

New Booties
gray ruffledy shirt: Cato, white pants: Victoria's Secret, gray booties: Cato, diamonds: The Husband
(Look, no NY&Co! Should have saved this for next week! :P)
Another non-exciting outfit, BUT I really wanted to wear this shirt. I bought it a few weeks ago, and still haven’t worn it. I thought at the time that it would look best under a cardigan, but it’s too warm today to wear one, and since it’s Thursday, I can get away with a little more casual look anyway. And I amped it up a little with some diamonds, which by the way, when you move to a new town and are still trying to meet people, really can substitute for a best friend--at least temporarily. (Which is in no way a disparaging remark towards The Best Friend, KML, just to be clear.)
(Close up of the shirt--cute!)
Also, I’m wearing my new booties! This is a trend I’ve struggled with accepting for almost a year now. I have been on the lookout for a pair without a ridiculously high heel on them, but was beginning to think that was an oxymoron—booties without a heel. I found these at Cato, and the best part (besides the fun patent gray color and semi-low heel) is that they were on sale for $14! I know that means they’re not real leather and will probably be scuffed and torn by this time next year, but I had come to the conclusion that I wasn’t willing to spend much more on this trend without “testing the waters” so to speak. Plus, I hate the word "bootie". I feel ridiculous saying it.
These BOOTIES (ugh) have also worked a miracle. I’m actually looking forward to cooler temperatures next week…because I can’t wait to wear these booties with a dress and some tights! Curse myself for saying it, but I can handle a few more weeks of winter weather…sigh.
(P.S. This last pic is horrible. I promise--there was no self-fulfilling prophecy yet--I did not go out and scuff my boots already! Just one more example in a long line of evidence why I should get off my lazy bum and take REAL pictures, not iPhone shots.)

Casual Cardigan day
Leather jacket: Gap (a million years ago), gray cardigan: New York & Co., pink silky print shirt: New York & Co., white pants: London Jean/Victoria's Secret, black mary janes: Lower East Side/Payless, black necklace: Express

Its a little warmer here than yesterday, but still cold. The main difference is that it isn't rainy and as windy, so it doesn't feel as bone-chilling! This cardigan is pretty much perfect for me to get through the day. There is a girl here at work who is always dressed cute, and she has inspired me to wear socks with my mary janes. I might never have considered it without seeing her do it first, but it just looks so cute!!

These pictures are terrible, I know! Damn self-portraits on the iphone!!
Because this office is so casual, I don't feel guilty at all for wearing these pants. They are a cross between a pair of chinos and white denim jeans--the material is a little dressier, but the fit and design is definitely more casual.

Leila and I "being silly"
BRITTANY: blue and green tie shirt--Target; white pants--Victoria's Secret; boots--X-Appeal; camel jacket--Cato; headband--Cato
LEILA: black shirt--Target; denim jeans--Ann Taylor; cardigan--Target; scarf--Target; boots--Payless; pearl necklace--gift from Betty

I'm in Lubbock now and it is freaking cold up here! I didn't get to post yesterday because my day was filled with shopping, doctors appointments, happy hours, and 40s and lottery tickets.
This is Leila and I rocking our beautiful looks.

This is Leila and I at our Mad Men Happy Hour. Bad quality pics but what can you expect from the IPhone?
