Can you see my Halloween socks peeping out on the above pictures? Hee hee!

Vested in Pink
I'm hearing word that a cold front is coming in tomorrow! It seems unseasonally warm lately, which I'm definitely not complaining about (I'm a summer girl through and through). I am anticipating wearing some tights and some fun winter jackets/coats soon though. I do enjoy the edge of fall/beginning on winter...its just those snowy mornings in January that I dread. Cool weather does mean the holidays are on the way!

Football Friday in Pink!
We've got a home game for Tech this weekend, so it was a little bit of a challenge to figure out how to show my team spirit for "Football Friday" and still wear pink (our colors are red and black!). Then I remembered this little tank top I had that I normally save for lazy weekend days. I threw on a black blazer to keep it work appropriate (look how the sleeves cut in) but rolled up my pants and strapped some gladiators on my feet...I mean it is Friday, after all!
P.S. So sorry about the quality of this picture, ugh!

Feeling Sassy and Blonde
So, when I got a haircut a few weeks ago and my hairdresser nicely told me that my hair was "gross", and with my class reunion coming up, I figured it was time to get back on the highlight train. And OH, does it feel good to be blonde again...even if you can't really tell in these photos!

A Dress as a Shirt
I'm feeling much more like myself today!
I bought this semi-shirt dress (its not the real thing--it only buttons up halfway) last weekend with the intention of wearing it as a dress with some boots. I tried it on, fell in love with it, and then lifted my arms over my head to test the length...and flashed my butt to the room. Damn being six feet tall!
So, I made it work appropriate by pairing it with some tight knit black pants, and am looking forward to putting it with tights once the weather gets a little cooler. I think it won't be entirely lost during the warmer months though, because it will be the perfect "dressy" cover up for a pool party.

Sick again, ugh.
I have been out of commission the last few days (mostly on Nyquil) and am missing you all tremendously. Thanks for sticking with me during this boring uncreative time of dressing for me. I'm feeling better today and hope to be back to myself tomorrow! I plan on catching up with all your blogs this week too, and can't wait to see what creative ideas you have come up with!
For now, I'll make the comment again - there are some days when I'm really happy that I can wear jeans anytime I want to work!

Back in Pink!
How horrible have I been about posting? P.S. I feel pretty bad today :(
I'm going semi-casual today in some black capris, but still feel perfectly fine for the office.
This was last Friday's outfit, and though its mostly purple, it does have a bit of pink in the stripes and on the sleeves and collar.
I felt a bit like an Eddie Bauer mom in this outfit, but I still like it. And I actually like the Eddie Bauer mom look, thank you very much!

Thursday in Pink and Gray
I'm playing with a shirt today - I usually wear this "out" untucked over some skinny jeans with a chunky necklace, but decided it would probably look a little "Casual Dressy" for a Thursday at the office. We have some people coming in this afternoon (eek, I've got to get back to work...working through lunch today [except for a short break to update you, Dear Journal]) so I didn't want to look like a schlum, but this whole outfit is incredibly comfortable!
Love the simplicity of pops of black and silver over a bright hot pink silk shirt!
Have a dinner gala tonight (is gala the current word?) so I've got to rush home today (thus the working through lunch) and try to look even better!! :) I'll be changing though for that occasion though, and will try to remember to take some pics!

Purple and Pink Flowers
I think some black heels would probably have been the most appropriate (maybe these black and purple t-straps?) but the weather is getting cooler and colder, and I know I don't have many more opportunities left to wear these sandals!
Did you notice my cute pink and black polka-dotted headband?

Green as a Sailor in Pink
So, in all its I-Wanna-Claim-I-"Did-It-Myself" glory, one Shoe Clip + Black beaded necklace = Pink Attire!
P.S. This skirt was bought out of pity for myself. I have wanted a pair of Express Sailor Pants FOR YEARS, but do you think Express has been nice enough to come out with a pant in a 36" inseam for me yet (despite incredibly

Tired....ZZZzzzzZZzzzZZzz
Oh my gosh. I got two and 1/2 hours of sleep last night...and have no excuse for it. I fell into that cycle where I was stressing and worrying that I couldn't fall asleep and was imagining how tired I was going to be today...and then I KEPT stressing and worrying until I just couldn't fall asleep...and surprise, surprise, I've been exhausted all day!
Two accomplishments for today (besides that obvious one of not just calling in sick and sleeping all day)...I wore hot pink for Melissa's challenge, and I'm in my skinny pants! They are actually even comfortable, and this shirt is AMAZING for a day like today (you know, when I'd rather be snoozing in my chair than actually doing my real job!) The satisfaction of wearing my skinny pants I haven't been able to squeeze into for a year, and then knowing that I'm making an easy dinner tonight (soft beef tacos) and can crash soon afterwards has me going today! Yea for the small things! :)
We had people over for the Tech game on Saturday (UGH) and Ellie Rae debuted her new tutu! How precious is she!!! :) (She is the little boy that my little boy chihuahua ISN'T, however, and hates to dress up...especially in something as girly and frivolous as a tutu! Dumb Mom!)

First Day of a New Challenge: BLOGGING FOR BREAST CANCER AwearNESS!
Today is the first day of Melissa's Blogging for Breast Cancer A"wear"ness Challenge. I'm going to wear something PINK for the next 30 days. I think this is a great challenge to just remind us all that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Also, I have a lot of pink! :-)
I've had a rough week and last night was kind of a bad evening for me. When I got in my car this morning, my husband had left me more flowers (he surprised me a few weeks ago, too!) and a sweet and funny card in the front seat of my car. Really, its just what I needed, and I didn't want to admit it to him, but I really nearly started crying just a little. I'm so glad today is Friday!
I really like this outfit in a preppy casual kinda way. I got invited to lunch at the tennis club here in town today, too, so I was perfectly dressed for the part! :)
P.S. I don't know WHY this is so blurry!!!
